Norges idrettsforbund uttaler (26. februar):
Russlands angrep på det ukrainske folk og brudd på folkeretten krever internasjonal fordømmelse og sanksjoner. Det er NIFs klare mening at russiske og hviterussiske utøvere ikke skal delta i internasjonale idrettsarrangementer utenfor Russland og Hviterussland.
NIF sier (10. mars) at norsk idretts solidaritet retter seg mot Ukraina og ukrainsk idrett. Men det understrekes også at barn (13-17 år) skal vernes mot konflikt og krig. Og det er viktig å ivareta og inkludere russiske og hviterussiske statsborgere som er bosatt i Norge. (Les gjerne den fulle, offisiell ordlyden på NIF's hjemmesider)
Offshore Racing Congress uttaler (2. mars):
"ORC stands in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian Sailing Community. Our hearts go out to all who have been affected by this senseless violence. ORC joins many international sports organizations and World Sailing in calling for an immediate end to all hostilities and a resumption of dialogue for a peaceful resolution in place of military action.
In support of policies issued and actions taken by the International Olympic Committee and World Sailing, ORC has moved to suspend the participation of Russian and Belarusian athletes, teams and Race Officials from 2022 ORC Championship events. We will do this with our Organizing Authority partners at this year's ORC World and Mediterranean Championships in Italy, European Championship in Norway, World Double Handed Championship in Sweden, and European Double Handed Championship in Greece."
